The finely pored ceramic diffusers introduce the air in extremely fine bubbles. The float on top screens the gush of air from below and keeps the whole unit in a slow
pendular motion, thus ensuring optimal distribution.

The distributor is positioned roughly in the middle of the pond. A plastic rope is tied to the bank opposing the air hose, anchoring the distributor. The cord should not be too taut in order to allow the distributor to drift a little, thus ensuring an even distribution of oxygen over a wide area.
